Find an exit from a Platform

Describe Online

Overview

There is stairs and lift access from each platform to street level. There is a single step between the car park and platform 1, southbound.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is no tactile paving along the edge of either platform.

See the Environs page for details of entrances/exits, see the Lifts page for details of lift access through this station.

From Which Platform?

  From Platform 1, Southbound
From Platform 2, Northbound

From Platform 1, Southbound

As you go from the front of longer trains, you go under the road bridge with pillars along the middle of the platform, before you reach the lift. Beyond the lift is an open area into which you can turn right then left and follow the wall to the exit to the car park. Continue, beyond this open space for the steps to the bridge, there's a building under these steps, we understand the front of shorter trains is beside this building. Continue to the foot of the steps then turn right (180 degrees).

As you go from the rear of longer trains, you pass a series of posts before you reach the gap to the exit for the car park. The foot of the steps to the bridge is in front of you, move slightly left then continue forward for the steps. Continue, beyond the steps past another open space before you reach the lift.

To the Car Park

If you take the first gap from the rear of the train, turn away from the tracks and continue through open gates onto the pavement.

If you take the gap nearer the front of the train, continue to the wall, turn left then take the turning right and continue, through open gates, onto the pavement.

Note that there's a single step from the pavement, we found no dropped kerbs during our survey.

GO TO END

Via the Lift

The call button is to your right of the door, go up to street level and leave via the same door. You're now in the foyer, turn left to the windows, in front of you, turn right and go through the automatic doors on your left, after a few metres, onto the pavement.

GO TO END

Via the Steps

Go up a flight of steps, turn right then go up another flight onto the bridge. Take the turning left, through the pull door, into the ticket office, continue through automatic doors into the foyer, then through a further set of automatic doors, onto the pavement.

GO TO END

From Platform 2, Northbound

As you go from the front of longer trains, you go under the canopy then past a gap between buildings. The next gap is towards the foot of the steps to the bridge, move slightly right then continue forward. Beyond the steps is a gap before you reach the lift building, move slightly right then continue forward to the door in front of you.

As you go from the rear of longer trains, you go under the road bridge, with pillars along the middle of the platform, before you reach the lift building on your left, turn left (180 degrees) for the door. Beyond the lift is a gap before you reach the rear of the steps, note you can walk underneath these steps, be careful! Continue to the foot of the steps, to your left then turn left (180 degrees).

Via the Lift

The call button is about 50 cm to your right of the door. Go up to street level, then leave via the door on your right (yes, this is at right angles). Turn left then go through the pull door onto the pavement. The door to the foyer and ticket office is to your left.

GO TO END

Via the Steps

Go up a flight of steps, turn left then go up another flight onto the bridge. Take the turning right, through the pull door, into the ticket office, continue through automatic doors into the foyer, then through a further set of automatic doors, onto the pavement.
