Lines Served

This is a through station on the line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Layout

The tracks run approximately northeast/southwest between separate platforms with platform 1, serving southbound trains towards Dundee and beyond lying southeast of platform 2 serving northbound trains towards Aberdeen.

A bridge, about in the middle of the station provides stairs and lift access between street level and each platform.

The ticket office lies southwest of the bridge. This is divided into two sections, the ticket office itself is between the bridge and a foyer, which leads from the main entrance. Note that there's a separate entrance for the lift to platform 2, which lies northwest of the main entrance.

Accessibility

There is stairs and lift access through this station. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog an wheelchair users.

Note that there's a single step between the car park and pavement, we found no dropped kerbs here during our survey.
