This is the intermediate level between the ticket office and the platforms, though it is actually lower than the platforms.
The main area is an irregular shaped space with recesses towards escalators to/from the platforms on the north, the weststeps to the platforms off the west end and emergency exit doors to stairs on the southwest side.
The steps towards the east end of the platforms leave from a passage from the recess at the foot of the escalators, which lies south of the main area of this section. It wasn't clear to us which of these steps was intended as entrance or exit.
There is tactile paving at the foot of each escalator. The east and west walls are tiled with billboards.

The passage leads east to another door leading north. The passage continues north, up a slight slope before turning right (east). You cross tactile paving then go up 15 then 15 steps, going east to platform level. You're near the east end of the platforms.
You leave the main area via a passage leading west, past a blank door on the left-hand (south) side. This passage bends right then left again (west) before you go through a fire door. After a few metres, you cross tactile paving then go up 14 then 15 steps, going west, to platform level. You're near the west end of the platforms.

The Wall continues northwest, meeting the passage leading west almost opposite the foot of the down escalator.
