The station is on the east side of a forecourt off Grampian Road (north/south). There are two lay-bys in the forecourt, the north one includes the taxi rank, whilst the south is a parking area used by customers.
Between these two, the pavement continues west to Grampian Road.
Dalfaber Road runs along the east side of the tracks, to the car park for the Spey Valley Railway.
There are three entrances/exits to this station:
From the pavement, you go in through a push door, into a draught lobby. Continue, through another push door, into the ticket office. The sales window is to your left, continue, through a pull door onto platform 1.
As you face the building, turn right then take the turning left and continue onto the platform.
From the northwest corner of this car park, follow the path, which crosses the end of track 3, then turn right. Continue, up the slope.
Continue forward for the Spey Valley Steam Railway, or take the turning left for platform 2.
There's a crossing of Grampian Road opposite the station entrance, continue, following the pavement between the two lay-bys. This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving and sounder. The post, with push button and rotating cone is to your right as you cross in either direction.
The bus stop is south of the shelter on the island between the entrance and exit roads to the taxi rank. This stop, Aviemore Railway Station, serves:
The bus stop, Aviemore Cairngorm Hotel, which is a few metres north of the crossing, serves:
