CHANGE PLATFORMS

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

There is lift and stairs access between the ticket office and platform 1, southbound. There is stairs access between platforms 2 - 3, eastbound and the ticket office plus ramp access between these platforms and Arthurlie Street. We can therefore provide stepped and step-free directions between platforms.

The doors will normally open on your left as you face the front of the train. However, we noted 2 and 4 car stops signs near the opposite ends of platforms 1 and 2 so, if an eastbound train stops at platform 1, or a southbound at platform 2, the doors will open on your right.

There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

From Which Platform?

  From Platform 1, Southbound
From Platforms 2 - 3

From Platform 1, Southbound

As you go from the front of southbound trains, you pass the metal wall of the bridge before you reach the station building, the automatic doors towards the ticket office are towards the far end of this building.

As you go from the rear of longer, southbound trains, you pass a lower wall with railings before you reach the station building. The automatic doors toward the ticket office are towards the near end of this building.

Go through the doors, the steps are in front of you, if you prefer the lift, turn right and locate the door on your left.

Via the Steps

Continue forward, down a flight of steps, turn right (180 degrees), down a flight of steps. Turn right (180 degrees), go down a flight of steps then turn right (180 degrees) and go down a flight of steps to ticket office level, then turn right.

The ticket sales window is in front of you, turn left, continue along the passage then take the turning left for the steps to platforms 2 - 3.

Go into the short passage then up nine then 23 steps to platform level. Turn left (180 degrees), continue up the slight slope then turn right, through pull doors, onto the platform. We believe you're near the rear of eastbound trains on platform 2.

We noted a 2 and 4 car stop at the right-hand end of platform 2. If a southbound train leaves from this platform, we believe you're near the front of the train.

For platform 3, turn left from the door and continue, beyond the open area to your left, then the ramp from Arthurlie Street, before you reach the beginning of track three. Note, your then on an island platform, with tactile paving to each side.

GO TO END

Via the Lift and Ramp

The call button is to your left of the door. Go down to ticket office level, leave via the same door then turn right, the ticket sales window is in front of you. Turn left, continue along the passage, then through the pull door. Turn right, continue to the foot of the steps in front of you then turn left. Continue to the top of this slope then turn right (180 degrees) and go to the top of this slope before turning left. The top of the steps is now behind you.

Continue up the slope, turning right, then left and right again. At the top, the beginning of track 3 is to your left, whilst platform 2 is in front of you. We believe you're near the front of 2-4 car eastbound trains on platform 2. Turn left for platform 3, which will then be on your left. We found no 6 car stop sign on platform 2, but presume the front of these trains will be beside platform 3.

Alternatively, turn right from the top of the ramp for the waiting room. We noted a 2 and 4 car stop sign near the right-hand end of this platform, so if a southbound train is to leave from here, we suggest you turn right and continue to the waiting room.

GO TO END

From Platforms 2 - 3

The ramp exit towards Arthurlie Street is just beyond the front of trains terminating at platform 3 and near the front of 2-4 car eastbound trains at platform 2. We found no 6 car stop sign on this platform, but presume the front of longer trains will be beside platform 3.

The stairs exit to the ticket office is near the rear of longer trains and behind the rear of shorter ones.

We noted a 2 and 4 car stop sign at the rear of platform 2. If a southbound train stops here, the stairs exit will be near the front of the train, whilst the ramp will be towards or behind the rear.

Via the Steps

Go towards the rear of eastbound trains and go through the push door into the building. Turn left then take the turning right (180 degrees) then go down 23 and nine steps to ticket office level.

Turn right then take the turning right, opposite the ticket sales window, towards the stairs and lift to platform 1.

Take the first turning left then go up a flight of steps. Turn left (180 degrees), go up another flight, left again (180 degrees), up another flight then left again (180 degrees) and up the final flight of steps to platform level. Continue, through the automatic doors, onto the platform. We believe you're beside the front half of southbound trains.

Note, we found a 2 and 4 car stop sign towards the right-hand end of the platform, so if an eastbound train is to leave from here, we suggest you turn right and continue to the end of the building, a lower wall with railings continues beyond the building.

GO TO END

Via the Ramp and Lift

Turn away from platform 2, down the slope. Follow the ramp left, right then left again. At the bottom of this slope, the steps are in front of you, turn right before the top of the steps, continue down the slope then turn left (180 degrees). Continue to the wall in front of you, turn right and go through the push door on your left into the ticket office. Continue, along the passage and take the second turning right, which is opposite the ticket sales window. You pass the foot of the steps before you find the lift door on your left.

The call button is to your left of the door, go up to platform level and leave via the same door. Turn right, continue to the top of the steps, on your right then turn left and go through the automatic doors onto the platform. We believe you're beside the front half of southbound trains.

Note, we found a 2 and 4 car stop sign towards the right-hand end of the platform, so if an eastbound train is to leave from here, we suggest you turn right and continue to the end of the building, a lower wall with railings continues beyond the building.
