PLATFORMS 2 - 3, EASTBOUND
This platform, which runs along the northwest side of the station, includes the terminus platform 3 and the through platform 2. We understand that both platforms serve eastbound trains towards Glasgow, though we found 2 and 4 car stop signs towards the southwest end of the platform which suggests that platform 2 could be used bi-directionally.
The southwest section of this platform includes the buildings alongside (northwest of) platform 2, whilst the northeast section is the island platform with platform 3 lying northwest of platform 2.
There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.
This platform can be reached via the ramp from Arthurlie Street, see the Environs page for details, or via steps from the ticket office.
From the main passage of the ticket office, you go up nine then 23 steps, going southwest into the building near the southwest end of platform 2. Turn left (180 degrees), up the slight slope then turn right, through the door onto the platform.
