General description

Describe Online

Lines Served

This is a through station on the North Clyde Line between Edinburgh Waverley and Helensburgh Central.

Layout

The tracks run approximately northwest/southeast between separate platforms with platform 1, serving eastbound trains towards Edinburgh lying northeast of platform 2, serving westbound trains towards Glasgow and Helensburgh.

The entrances and ticket office are about in the middle of platform 1, whilst platform 2 can only be reached via the bridge, which is northwest of the entrances.

Accessibility

There is level access to platform 1 from the forecourt, either directly or via the ticket office. There is stairs and lift access between platforms via the bridge. We therefore believe this station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
