PLATFORM 2, EASTBOUND

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

This is a separate platform along the north side of the station serving trains towards Motherwell and Edinburgh. There is no tactile paving along the edge of the platform.

To Reach

This platform can be reached via the ramped path from Hamilton Road, or via steps from Motherwell Road. See the Environs page for details of these paths.

From the north car park, a path leads south towards the platform. There’s a single disabled persons parking bay and a vehicle pick-up/drop-off point beside the north end of this path. There’s a hand rail to each side of the path. As you reach the platform, the steps to the bridge are to your left (east).

Alternatively, from the north car park, you can go up nine steps, going south, onto the platform. This brings you just west of the shelter.

Whilst there is stairs access from platform 1 via the bridge, the entrances to platform 1 from the roads are close to those to platform 2.
