Overview

This bridge provides ramp and stairs access between platforms.

As there is no entrance/exit on platform 1, westbound, the bridge provides the only route to/from the car park. We'll therefore include details of the ramp and stairs access from the car park in this section.

Layout

Via the Ramps

From the south side of the car park, you go up the ramp, going east. As you reach the top of this ramp, you could turn left (north) for the east steps. You go down nine steps, going north, into the car park. There’s tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps. The bike shelter is just east of the foot of these steps.

Turn right (180 degrees, west) from the top of the first ramp, then continue west, up the ramp. From the top of this ramp, you can turn left (south) and continue onto platform 2 eastbound, or turn left (180 degrees, east) for the ramp to the bridge.

You go up a shallow ramp, with hand rail to each side, going east. At the top of the slope, turn right (180 degrees, west) and continue west up the ramp, onto the bridge.

Turn left (south). The bridge runs north/south between walls with embedded lights. At the south end, you can turn left (east) for the ramp, or right (west) for the steps to platform 1.

Following the ramp, you go down east, at the bottom of the slope, turn left (180 degrees, west) and continue down the ramp to platform level. There’s a hand rail to each side of this ramp. Continue to the end of the fence on your right, then turn right (north) and continue onto the platform.

Via the Steps

From the south side of the car park, you can go up seven steps, going south, turn left (east) then go up five steps, going east. There’s tactile paving at the bottom of the steps from the car park.

At the top of these steps, you’re in an area with a ticket machine on the left-hand (north) side, before the path continues east then south to platform 2.
