The station is located on the east side of Eglington Street which runs north-south, between Nelson Street (north) and Bedford Lane (south).
The station is set back from the pavement, being surrounded on all but the west side by the open park and ride car park which is separated from the pavement by a row of trees and lamp posts. The entrance and exit to the car park are from the north side of Bedford Lane.
The station has a single entrance/exit which can be reached via a short walkway from the pavement or via paths from the north and south sections of the car park. There's a phone box (slightly north) and a fixed rubbish bin (about opposite the middle of the walkway), on the kerb.
As you approach the station moving east from the pavement of Eglington Street, you pass between bollards (row of three across the west end of the walkway). The building to your left (north) is an electricity substation (not for public access).
You then cross the entrances (left and right) from the car park, with bollards across each one, before you reach the station building. There’s a slight slope up into the booking hall.
Traffic runs one way, from your right as you cross away from the station. There is no tactile paving at this crossing. The posts, with push button, no sounder nor rotating cones are east of the crossing, that is to your right as you cross away from the station. There is no pedestrian crossing of Eglington Street at this junction.
This is part of a major junction comprising Eglington Street (north/south), Bedford Lane (east) and Wallace Street (west).
This is a complex, three-stage crossing with no tactile paving, no sounder nor rotating cones.
The first stage brings you onto an island from which you cross onto another triangular island in the middle of Wallace Street. From here you can cross to either side of Wallace Street.
The post for the first stage is to your right. On reaching the island, turn left, follow the railing to the gap then locate the post for the second stage to your left. On the island, the post is to your right as you face either crossing.
On return, the posts for the crossing of Wallace Street onto the triangular island are to your right, as is that for the crossing to the middle of Eglington Street, the post for the final stage of the return crossing is to your left.
There is no pedestrian crossing of Bedford Lane.
The bus shelter north of the station entrance, (right as you leave) is on the right-hand (east) side of the pavement, denoted “GL2617 Eglington Street“. This is a glass sided, open shelter with seats, serving:
