Whilst we couldn't establish any rules as to which trains normally arrive at each platform, we heard plenty of helpful announcements. However, we also noticed a train to London Liverpool Street departing from platform 1, which isn't a terminus. We therefore suggest you ask someone which platform you're on.

Turn right as you get off the train and continue to the exit into the concourse. Note that this platform extends some distance from the station building, forming the right hand part of the island with platform 2.
Turn left as you get off the train. This platform forms the left hand part of the island with platform 1. Continue to the station building, platform 1 and then to the exit into the concourse.
Turn right as you get off the train and continue to the wall in front of you. Turn right here, then left onto platform 1. Continue to the exit into the concourse.
Turn left as you get off the train and locate the exit into the concourse. Note this platform extends some distance beyond the station building, forming the left hand part of the island with platform 5.
Turn right as you get off the train and continue to the station building and then to the exit into the concourse. This platform forms the right hand part of the island with platform 4.
Turn left as you leave the train and continue to the wall in front of you. Turn left here, then right, onto platform 4. Continue to the exit into the concourse.
