Overview

This is a separate platform along the northeast side of the station serving trains toward Lanark, Larkhall and Motherwell. There is tactile paving along the edge of this platform. The platform seemed quite narrow at the time of our survey.

The covered area of the platform starts beyond (northwest of) the entrance/exit. this platform is some distance northwest of platform 1.

To Reach

Via the Steps

From the ticket hall, you go down six steps, going northwest to a landing. There’s tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps which are divided by a central rail.

The landing veers left then right again before you reach the second flight of steps. Continue (northwest) down five steps, going northwest. there’s tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps which are also divided by a central rail. Turn left (180 degrees, southeast) and go down eight then 16 steps, going southeast then turn right onto the platform. There’s tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps which are also divided by a central rail.
