GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is a through station on the East Coast Mainline between London King's Cross and Edinburgh Waverley.
The station has a single platform served by a passing loop on the north side of the main line, which runs approximately east/west past the station. The platform actually curves from about east, right towards the south, though for convenience we'll describe it as east/west in this guide.
The two entrances give level access towards the east end of the platform, that is near the front of southbound or rear of northbound trains.
There is step-free access throughout this station, we therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
