The station is located on the west side of Riverside Drive, just southeast of South Union Street, which curves from south to west. An extensive forecourt, including bike racks and a car park extends north from the building, to the south side of the ring road.
There are two entrances and exits, which give level access to the upper concourse, you enter either of these facing south. The main (west) exit faces the taxi rank, whilst the side (east) exit faces north along Riverside Drive.
We found no pedestrian controlled crossings within the scope of this survey, though we understand there's a crossing of the ring road, just east of South Union Street.
We understand the bus station is in the Seagate, beyond the scope of this survey.
This is the area lying north of the building, bounded to the east by Riverside Drive, to the north by the ring road and to the west by South Union Street. The pay and display car park extends west of the forecourt.
The area outside the main exit contains bike parks and seats, the taxi rank is almost in front of (11 o'clock) from the exit.
The area outside the side exit contains plants and shrubs.
The building juts north, into the forecourt, so that it curves from going north to south, between the two entrances. Note that there's a doorway near the west entrance, leading to stairs which are not for public use.
