THE PLATFORMS |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is an island platform, running approximately north/south with platform 1, southbound on the east and platform 4, northbound, on the west. Platforms 2 and 3 are bay platforms leading south.
The station building, in the middle of this island platform is divided into three sections by two passages between platforms 1 and 4, from the north:
The near (north) section of this last building is also not for public use.
The near (north) passage leads to an emergency exit, which is not normally for public use, whilst the second passage leads to the toilets.
The canopy extends some distance south of the station building. There's tactile paving along each platform, which ceases at the end of the canopy. From here, the texture underfoot becomes rougher, there are no features of interest to the end of the platforms, which narrow considerably beyond this point.
