The common entrance to platforms 8, 9, 10 and 11 is off the north side of the corridor opposite the centre of the main concourse. There is a ramp leading down to an area in front of the gates. This ramp now has a central rail, keep left.

This is an open space, the north side has a railing in the centre across the ends of tracks 9 and 10 with gaps either side leading to island platforms, platforms 8 and 9 on the right, platforms 10 and 11 on the left.
There's an assistance window facing north from the west end of the gate line.
Note that all the benches on these 4 platforms are moveable and may be in slightly different positions.
there is tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
In the right-hand half of the area beyond the gate line in the entrance to platforms 8 to 11, platform 8 is to the right, platform 9 straight ahead. Platform 8 extends back beside the ramp for some way. Although part of this area is not for public access, some trains extend back beyond the foot of the ramp.

There are 2 low posts before the island ends in a slope down to the track.
