This is a through station on the line between Larkhall, Lanark and Motherwell in the east and Dalmuir and Milngavie in the west. We understand that customers for Helensburgh Central change at Partick.
The tracks run approximately east/west past a single island platform with platform 1, Eastbound, lying north of platform 2 westbound. The station is near the west end of the tunnel from Glasgow Central Low Level and, as such, is below street level, although the station itself is in the open. There’s a small canopy outside the ticket office building on platform 2, but no shelter on platform 1.
The ticket office is in the middle of the island platform, with the entrances/exits from the west end of the building.
There is lift and stairs access between the ticket office and a small foyer at street level, which provides exits to the walkway to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (east) and Minerva Street.
There is lift and stairs access throughout this station. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
