Overview

There is stairs access between platforms via the bridge and ramp access via Garrison Place and Grahams Road. See the Environs page for more details.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is no tactile paving along the edge of either platform.

From Which Platform?

  From Platform 1, Eastbound
From Platform 2, Westbound

From Platform 1, Eastbound

As you go from the front of six car trains, you pass a building, not for public use, then the three car stop before you reach the first gap to the car park. Beyond this is the ticket office building. The second gap is beyond this. As you continue, beyond the second exit, you pass an open area with bike racks and planters before you reach the steps to the bridge, which are against the right-hand wall. We understand that two car trains will stop so that the front of the train is near the first exit.

As you go from the rear of six car trains, you'll pass the steps to the bridge (turn left (180 degrees), followed by an area with bike racks and planters before you reach the second exit. The ticket office building is just beyond this. The first exit is just beyond the ticket office building.

via the Bridge

You go up two flights of steps, turn left, over a hump backed bridge, then turn left and go down two flights of steps onto the platform. Note that these steps are nearer the edge of the platform than the wall of the waiting room, to your right. We believe you're about in the middle of six and three car trains and beside the front half of two car trains.

GO TO END

Via the Ramps

Leave via the first exit, turn right then follow the path, up the slope. The path veers left then continues to the pavement of Grahams Road.

Turn right, continue up the slope, past the bus shelter, note that the pavement outside this shelter is quite narrow. Continue, over the rail bridge. You want to take the right-hand of the two paths which continue forward, down a steep slope then turn right into Garrison Place.

Take the first turning right, into the south car park, we suggest you follow the left-hand side, across the entrance to the Behar carp park then follow the pavement, which veers right. Take the turning left and go down a short, steep ramp, onto the platform. We believe you're beside the rear half of six and three car trains and near the rear of two car trains.

GO TO END

From Platform 2, Westbound

As you go from the front of six and three car trains, you pass the steps to the Behar car park then, follow the wall on your right, which retreats to your right, before the rear of the steps to the bridge. Continue, past the bike racks/lockers, on your right and the steps on your left. There's a metal grid in the platform as you reach the foot of the steps, to your left (turn left (180 degrees.

From here, you can continue, past the waiting room before you reach the exit to the south car park.

We understand that two car trains stop so that the front of the train is just beyond the steps to the bridge, turn back to the foot of the steps then right (180 degrees). Alternatively, you can continue, past the waiting room for the exit to the south car park.

As you go from the rear of six car trains, you pass the exit to the south car park. We understand that the rear of three and two car trains is near this exit. You can continue, following the wall on your left, past the waiting room. There's a grid in the platform beside the foot of the steps, move to your right then continue up the steps.

Via the Bridge

You go up two flights of steps, turn right, over the hump backed bridge then turn right and go down two flights of steps, onto the platform. We believe you're beside the rear half of six car trains, we suggest you continue forward, to the ticket office building to be beside the shorter trains.

GO TO END

Via the Ramps

Leave the platform, up a short, steep ramp, onto the pavement beside the south car park, turn right, then follow the pavement which veers left before you reach the entrance to the Behar car park on your right. Continue forward, onto the pavement of Garrison Place and turn left.

You cross the entrance to the south car park then continue, up the slope and take the turning left into Grahams Road. This section of the pavement is also quite steep.

Continue, over the rail bridge, past the bus shelter on your left. Note that the pavement outside this shelter is quite narrow. Take the next turning left, continue down the steep(ish) ramp. The path veers right, ignore the first turning left then take the next turning left, which is the first exit onto the platform. We believe you're beside the front half of six and three car trains and at the front of two car trains.
