The Lifts

Overview

There are three public lifts within this station:

Between Platform 15 and the Intermediate Level

At All Levels

There are clear spoken announcements. The call buttons are to your right (east) of the door. These buttons are clearly labelled and are at wheelchair height. You go in facing north.

At Concourse Level

The lift is at the north end of platform 15.

In the Low Level Concourse

The lift is on the north side of the concourse, between the low level Hope Street entrance and the upward escalator.

At the Intermediate Level

The lift is on the right-hand (north) side of the west passage, as you move away from the gate line. This is just inside the normally open doors in the passage.

Between the Intermediate Level and Platforms 16 and 17

At Both Levels

There are clear spoken announcements. The call buttons are to your left (north) of the doors. These buttons are clearly labelled. You go in facing east.

At the Intermediate Level

The lift is on the left-hand (east) side of the west passage, opposite the top of the west steps.

At Platform Level

The lift is between the two sets of steps from the island platform.

Between the Main Concourse and Upper Level

At Both Levels

There are no announcements and the call buttons were not marked at the time of our survey.

At Concourse Level

The lift is on the west side of the concourse, in a pillar outside the recess to the steps to the upper level. The call button is to your left (south) of the door, you go in facing west.

At the Upper Level

The lift is on the east side of this space. The call button is to your right (south) of the door, you go in facing east.
