General Information

The island platform has tactile paving near each edge.
A draininge channel runs almost the entire length of platform 1, the platform slopes from each side into this channel. The slope is more marked from the platform 2 side.
Another drainage channel runs along platform 2, for the length of the station building.

The doors open on your right as you face the front of the train.

To Which Exit?

  To Niddrie Road
To Victoria Road

To Niddrie Road

Get off the train and turn left (onto platform 1 towards Glasgow Central) or right (onto platform 2 towards Cathcart) and continue along the platform to the beginning of the path towards the exit. This is marked by two concrete posts, one on each platform, which mark the beginning of wire fences to each side of the path. Make sure you're on the wire netting side of a fence (as opposed to the post side), otherwise you'll go down the slope off the platform onto the tracks. If you follow the drainage channel along platform 1, continue beyond the end of this, bearing slightly right to locate the middle of this path.

Continue, following the path down the slope and onwards for about 40 metres, to the foot of the steps. Go up seven concrete steps, then two flights of metal steps onto the metal bridge. Continue for about 20 metres to the end of the bridge, onto the pavement on the southeast side of Niddrie Road.

To Victoria Road

Get off the train and turn right (platform 1 towards Glasgow Central) or left (platform 2 towards Cathcart). Continue to the foot of the steps, which leave from the middle of the island platform. Note that the platform continues to each side beyond the steps, down the slope onto the tracks. If you follow the drainage channel on platform 1, continue straight beyond the end of this to reach the steps, towards the right-hand side.

Go up two flights of metal steps onto the bridge and continue for about 20 metres over the metal bridge onto the northwest side of Victoria Road.
