The upper level platforms are numbered 1 - 7 from your right as you face the concourse. Platforms 1 - 2, 3 - 4 and 5 - 6 are island platforms, whilst platform 7 is a separate platform along the left-hand side of the station. Note that platform 1 is a short platform which finishes before the buildings along the right-hand side.
To change between these platforms, except on the same island, move to the gate line and turn accordingly.
The lower level platforms 8 - 9 are separate platforms which can be reached via either stairs or lift from the upper level. As the stairs access to these platforms is outside the gates, we suggest that changes between levels be via the lifts from platform 7.
Changes between platforms at the lower level can be made via either set of stairs or the lifts, though, for simplicity, we recommend the lifts. See the lifts page for details of the public lifts in this station.
There's tactile paving along the edge of all upper level platforms, but none at the lower level.
From the Upper Level
As you arrive on odd numbered platforms, the doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train, on your right for even numbered platforms.
Go to platform 7. As you move away from the concourse, the first reces leads to the lift to platform 8, westbound, whilst the second leads to platform 9, eastbound. At the lower level, you're about in the middle of the train.
From the Lower Level
There's a lift in a recess about in the middle of each platform. Go to platform level.
From Platform 8, Westbound
Leave the lift then turn left onto platform 7. turn left again for upper level platforms, continue to the gate line then turn right and locate the platform you need. Otherwise, turn right for platform 9, eastbound and locate the lift in the recess on your right. Go down to the lower level, you're about in the middle of the train.
From Platform 9, Eastbound
Leave the lift then turn right onto platform 7 and turn left.
For platform 8, westbound, locate the lift in the recess on your left then go to the lower level, you're about in the middle of the train. For upper level platforms, continue to the gate line, turn right and locate the platform you need.
