The Platform

Describe Online

This is a bi-directional platform lying south of the tracks, with tactile paving along the edge.

Trains travelling east are southbound towards Tweedbank, whilst those travelling west are northbound towards Edinburgh.

The entrance from the car park is near the west end, whilst the stepped entrance from Station Road is at the east end.

To Reach

Step-Free Access from the Car Park

If you follow the pavement on the north side of the car park, you go up a short ramp (east). Turn left at the top, onto the platform. Note that you cross tactile paving as you reach the platform, don't confuse this with the tactile along the edge of the platform!

Stairs Access from Station Road

From just before (south of) the rail bridge, take the turning left (west), follow the right-hand side then turn right (north) and go down 20 steps, going north onto the platform. There's tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps. There's a ticket validator on your right before you reach the platform.
