This is effectively a separate platform along the northeast side of the tracks, serving eastbound trains towards Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central.
The ticket office and car park lie northeast of the platform, whilst the southeast section shares an island with an unused platform. There is tactile paving along the edge of platform 1, but no tactile paving along the edge of the unused platform from which there is a drop into the track bed.
