There is stairs access between platforms via the bridge and step-free access via the local street network, details of which lie beyond the scope of this survey. See the Find an Exit from a Platform and Environs pages for more details. We believe you can join Station Road beyond the bus station and turn left towards the station building.
The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is no tactile paving along the edge of either platform.
From Platform 1, Westbound|
From Platform 2, Eastbound
We believe the steps to the bridge are near the rear of the train.
The posts are along the middle of the platform, as are the steps to the bridge. If you came from the front of the train, you could, therefore, go to either side of these steps and overshoot them. Note, it's possible to walk underneath the back of these steps if you come from the rear of longer trains, or have to make your way back again, having overshot.
Fortunately, there's a distinct drainage channel along the platform, which should provide an excellent guide. Get off near the front of the train, move forward to this channel then turn left and, keeping the channel on your right, continue to the foot of the steps, in front of you.
Go up a flight of steps, turn left then go up another flight onto the bridge. Continue, down a flight of steps then turn left and go down another flight onto platform 1.
We believe you're beside the front half of longer trains and about in the middle of shorter ones.GO TO END
We believe the gap to Station Road is beside the rear half of longer trains and behind the rear of shorter ones, whilst the steps to the bridge are beside the front half of longer trains and about in the middle of shorter ones.
Get off near the rear of the train, turn right and continue, following the left-hand side, to the foot of the steps to the bridge, which are in front of you. Go up a flight of steps, turn right and go up another flight onto the bridge. Continue, down a flight of steps then turn right and go down another flight onto platform 1. We believe you're beside the rear half of the train.
