The station is immediately northwest of the point where Clydesdale Street (northeast/southwest) crosses the tracks.
We understand that Burnbank Road leads into the car park which lies along the southwest side of the station, whilst Douglas Park Lane runs northwest along the northeast side.
There are three entrances/exits to this station:
You leave Clydesdale Street along Burnbank Road, going northwest then take the turning right (northeast), just before the car park and go down the ramp onto the platform. Note that you can turn right immediately before the platform for the bike racks and lockers.
You leave the pavement, just northeast of the bridge, going northwest along douglas Park Lane then take the turning left (180 degrees, southeast) and continue down the ramp onto the platform. This route is signed as accessible to wheelchairs. Douglas Park Lane continues northwest past the top of the ramp, beyond the scope of this survey.
There’s a single gap in the wall, towards the southwest end of the bridge.
For platform 1, westbound, continue (northwest) down 12, 13 then five steps, going northwest then move right onto the platform. You’re at the effective southeast end of the platform. There’s a hand rail to each side of these steps, note, however, that the lower landing is shorter than the upper one.
For platform 2, eastbound, turn right (northeast) before the top of the steps to platform 1, continue to the end of this path then turn left (northwest). You go down 12, 13 then two steps, going northwest then move left onto the effective southeast end of the platform. There’s a hand rail to each side of these steps, note, however, that the lower landing is shorter than the upper one.
There was a temporary crossing just southwest of the bridge. This is a single-stage crossing with no tactile paving, though there is a sounder. The posts, with push button but no rotating cone are southwest of the crossing, that is to your right as you cross away from the station, or to your left as you cross towards it.
Note, however, that at the time of our survey, roadworks were in progress to the southwest of the station so we do not know what the longer term arrangements will be.
Bus stop 6150395, on the rail bridge, serves:
At the time of our survey, this busy road was a one-way street with traffic going northeast.
