Lines Served

This is a through station on the line from Glasgow Central to Larkhall, Lanark and Motherwell.

The tracks run approximately northwest/southeast between separate platforms with platform 1, serving westbound trains towards Glasgow lying southwest of platform 2, serving eastbound trains toward Larkhall, Lanark and Motherwell.

The road bridge, Clydesdale Street, crosses the tracks at the southeast end of the station. This bridge provides stairs and step-free access to each platform, though the ramp from Burnbank Road onto platform 1 may be a bit steep for some users.

The ticket office is on the southeast half of the westbound platform 1, a few metres northwest of the steps from the bridge.

There is step-free access between each platform and Clydesdale Street. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users, though some users may find the ramp from platform 1 a bit steep.
