Location

The station is on the north side of East Princes Street (east/west), a few metres east of the junction with Sinclair Street (north/south). West Princes Street leads west from this junction to Colquhoun Square, where the main bus stops are.

North of the station is an extensive car park, which appears to belong to the Co-op supermarket on the east side of Sinclair Street. The next junction north is with East King Street (east) and West King Street (west). Grant Street leads south from East King Street into the car park.

There are four entrances/exits to this station:

Local Road Crossings

The Junction of Sinclair Street (North/South) East Princes Street (East) and West Princes Street (West)

This junction has tactile paving throughout and sounder. At each arm, the post with push button and rotating cone is to your right as you cross in either direction.

The Junction Of Sinclair Street (North/South), East King Street (East) and West King Street (West)

This junction has tactile paving throughout and sounder. At each arm, the post with push button is to your right as you cross in either direction.

The Junction of East King Street (East/West) and Grant Street (South)

This junction has tactile paving and sounder, but no rotating cones.

South Arm, Grant Street

The post, with push button is to your right as you cross in either direction.

West Arm, East King Street

The posts, with push button, are west of the crossing, that is to your left as you cross away from the station or to your right as you cross towards it.

Local Features

The Bridge

From the north side of East Princes Street, you go up 17 then 17 steps, going north. Continue, down 25 steps, going north onto the east side of the Co-op car park. Continue north, onto a pavement on the west side of Grant Street, with housing to each side, onto the south side of East King Street. The Police Station is on the north side of East King Street, almost opposite this side street.

Colquhoun Square

Colquhoun Square is a wide area with grass and flower beds. West Princes Street runs along the south side and Colquhoun Street, which contains the bus stops, runs along the west, whilst a small lane runs along the east side.

Note, there is no pedestrian controlled crossing of Colquhoun Street.
