Lines Served

This is the western terminus of the North Clyde Line from Glasgow Queen Street.

Layout

The tracks enter the station from the east, serving three platforms numbered 1 to 3 from the south. Platform 1 is a separate platform, between the track and station car park, whilst platforms 2 - 3 are an island platform. Note that tracks 1 - 2 extend about ten metres west of track 3.

The concourse, off the west end of the platforms is divided into two rectangular sections, the main concourse is off the ends of the platforms, whilst the ticket office is a smaller area from the south side. See the Environs page for details of the entrances and exits.

Note that the bridge which crosses the station near the far (east) end of the platforms is outside the station, see the Environs page for details.

Accessibility

There is step-free access throughout this station. There is step-free access to the station via the north entrance and the two vehicle access routes to the car park. Note that there is a single, steep step at the main entrance, from East Princes Street into the ticket office.

We therefore believe this station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
