The station is located north of Boreland Road (east/west) which crosses the tracks south of the station. Boreland Road runs east from Church Street (north/south), which continues (north) to the car park which lies west of the station.
An approach road leads north from Boreland Road, along the west side of the station, to a turning circle, on the east side of which is the taxi rank and bus stop.
There are four entrances/exits to this station:
Note that there are no direct entrances/exits from platform 1. There is ramp and stairs access to this platform via the bridge.
This gives level access leading north from the taxi rank. The south door to the ticket office is in front of you, turn right onto platform 2, south of the middle of the platform.
You go down the short ramp, going east, onto platform 2. We believe you're beside the rear half of longer trains, but may be behind the rear of shorter ones.
Note that the accessible parking bays are beside (north of) this entrance.
You follow the path leading south. You could take the turning left, onto the bridge, then turn right and go down two flights of steps, going south, onto platform 2, the north wall of the ticket office is in front of you. You're about in the middle of the platform. If you continue (east) you could turn right for the stairs or left for the ramp onto platform 1.
Alternatively, you can continue (south) down the ramp, turn left (180 degrees) at the bottom of the slope, continue (north) down the slope then turn right (east) down a short slope. The main entrance is to your right and the south door of the ticket office is on your left, after a few metres. Continue (east) onto the platform, south of the middle.
Leave the car park facing east. From here you could turn left and go down 15 steps, going north, turn right and go down three steps, going east, onto platform 2. You're beside the front half of the trains. Alternatively, you could turn right (south) go down the ramp, turn left (east) and go down a short slope onto platform 2, you're about in the middle of the platform, a few metres north of the ticket office.
We found no pedestrian controlled crossings within the scope of this survey.
The bus stop on the east side of the approach road serves:
As you leave via the main exit, there's no pavement along the right-hand (west) side of the approach road.
