FIND AN EXIT FROM A PLATFORM

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

There is ramp and stairs access from platform 1, southbound, via the bridge, to the car park or the main entrance. The ramp exit to the approach road and the ramp/stairs to the car park, lead directly from platform 2, northbound.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

From Which Platform?

  From Platform 1, Southbound
From Platform 2, Northbound

From Platform 1, Southbound

As you move from the front of the train, you pass the waiting room and a set of seats before you reach the ramp (on the right-hand side) then the foot of the stairs, to your left of this.

Via the Ramp

Go up the slope, turn left (180 degrees) then go to the top of the slope and turn right onto the bridge. If you follow the right-hand side, the turning right leads towards the car park, whilst the turning left, opposite this, leads down the ramp towards the main entrance.

To the Car Park

Turn right and continue to the kerb, in front of you. You're beside the accessible parking bays, to your left.

GO TO END

To the Main Entrance

Turn left, go to the bottom of the slope then turn left (180 degrees). Go to the bottom of this slope then turn right and go down a short slope to street level. Continue forward about five metres then turn right and continue into the approach road. You pass the taxi rank on your right before the bus stop, on your left.

GO TO END

Via the Stairs

Go up four flights of seven steps onto the bridge, turn left then take the turning left and go down two flights of steps to platform level. Continue, past the ticket office building on your left then move left about five metres before continuing forward to the approach road. You pass the taxi rank on your right before the bus stop on your left.

GO TO END

From Platform 2, Northbound

As you move from the front of the longer trains, you pass the foot of the stairs to the car park. From shorter trains, you pass the foot of the ramp to the car park, then go under the bridge. The stairs to the bridge are a few metres beyond this, followed by the station building. The main entrance is beyond the main building, whilst the path to the approach road is some distance beyond this.

In this section, we'll describe routes to the car park and main entrance. The path to the approach road, merely leads up, beyond the bus stop.

To the Car Park

Nearer the Front of the Train
Via the Ramp

As you move from the front of the train, take the turning right, just before the bridge. Go up the short slope then turn right and continue to the top of the slope before turning left to the car park.

GO TO END

Via the Stairs

The foot of these stairs may be beyond the front of shorter trains. Turn away from the tracks, go up three steps then turn left and go up a flight of steps before turning right to the car park.

GO TO END

Via the Bridge

This route merely passes the end of the bridge, we include it as it brings you beside the accessible parking spaces.

Via the Ramp

From the front of the train, continue beyond the station building then turn right and continue to the ramp in front of you. Go up the short slope then turn left and go to the top of this slope. Turn right (180 degrees), continue beyond the top of the slope, into the car park. The accessible bays are to your left.

Via the Stairs

We include this for completeness.

Take the turning right, just before the station building, continue to the wall then turn right and go up two flights of steps to the bridge. Turn left then take the turning right and continue into the car park.

GO TO END

Via the Main Entrance

From the front of the train, continue past the station building, on your right. It may be easier to continue until you find the bushes on your right before turning right then taking the turning left into the approach road. You pass the taxi rank to your right before you reach the bus stop on your left .
