Lines Served

This is the terminus for lines from Aberdeen, Perth, Kyle of Lochalsh, Thurso and Wick.

Layout

The station is established on one level. A rectangular concourse has the main entrance in the west end, the travel centre on the south, the bar and cafe on the north and the platforms leaving to the east.

The platforms are numbered 1 - 7 from the south such that:

• Platforms 1 - 2 share an island platform with platform 2 leaving the concourse and lying north of platform 1, which starts some distance to the east of the concourse.
• Platforms 3 - 4 and 5 - 6 are island platforms leading east from the concourse.
• Platform 7 is separate from the main station, lying east of the car park which runs along the north side. This platform is reached via the car park or via a path leading east from the northeast corner of the concourse.

  Platforms 1 - 4, which serve trains to Aberdeen or Perth, lead east from the concourse, whilst the other platforms, serving trains to Kyle of Lochalsh, Thurso and Wick, curve sharply left, the tracks running northwest away from the station.

  Accessibility

  There is step-free access throughout this station. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
