THE TICKET OFFICE

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

We'll consider this in three sections:

The Original Ticket Office

This is the rectangular space which was enclosed by the original building. It includes the ticket sales windows on the west side, the steps to platform 2 from the south end and the subway from the north. The main entrance, via the extension is from the east.

The Extension

This rectangular space is the windowed area which was added when the station was refurbished. It includes the entrance from the forecourt, on the east, leading straight through (west)to the sales windows. The gap at the south end leads (west) to the stairs to platform 2, whilst that at the north leads (west) towards the subway.

The Subway

This is a passage leading west from the ticket office to the foot of the stairs to platform 1. The kiosk is on the south side, whilst the toilet is on the north, opposite the kiosk.
