Overview

There is step-free access from platform 1 to the forecourt. There is also step-free access from platform 2 to Overton road or Thornbrae.

There is stairs access between platforms via the bridge. See the Change Platforms page for details of the step-free and stairs routes between platforms.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

From Which Platform?

  From Platform 1, Eastbound
From Platform 2, Southbound

From Platform 1, Eastbound

From the Front of the Train

As you go from the front of the train, you pass the station building and waiting area on your right before you reach the turning towards the forecourt. Note that there's a mesh fence with a concrete post jutting out into the platform (ouch!) just before the turning. Turn right and continue onto the pavement.

From the Rear of the Train

As you go from the rear of the train, you reach the back of the steps to the bridge. Note that you can walk underneath these steps, be careful! Follow the mesh fence, beside the foot of the steps then take the turning left and continue onto the pavement. Turn right for the taxi rank or left for the bus stop. See the Environs page for details.

From Platform 2, Southbound

From the Front of the Train

As you go from the front of the train, you reach the back of the steps to the bridge. Note that you can walk underneath these steps, be careful! Continue, beyond the steps. From here you can either take the turning right towards Springfield Park and Overton Road, or continue to the end of the platform for the steeper path onto Thornbrae.

For Springfield Park and Overton Road

Turn right and follow the path which veers left then right again, up the hill into the Springfield Park housing development. As you reach the pavement, numbers 1 - 19 are to your right. You can turn right then take the first turning left and continue onto Overton Road.

For Thornbrae

Continue to the end of the platform, following the right-hand side. You pass the waiting area before you find gravel on your right to the end of the platform. At this point, move right a little then continue up the slope onto Thornbrae. Note that some users may find this path a bit steep.

From the Rear of the Train

Get off the train and turn left for Thornbrae or right for Springfield Park and Overton Road.

For Springfield Park and Overton Road

You pass the waiting area before you reach the left turning you need. The foot of the steps to the bridge is beyond this.

Turn left then follow the path which veers left then right again, up the hill into the Springfield Park housing development. As you reach the pavement, numbers 1 - 19 are to your right. You can turn right then take the first turning left and continue onto Overton Road.

For Thornbrae

Continue, following the gravel area on your right, to the end of the platform. at this point, move right a little then continue up the slope onto Thornbrae. Note that some users may find this path a bit steep.
