Via Which Route?

To Platform 1 Via the Ticket Office

As you go into the ticket office from the forecourt, the ticket sales windows, with variable height counter and induction loop are to your right. The door to platform 1 is at the left-hand end of the far wall. Go through this door onto the platform, we believe you're beside the front half of the train.

GO TO END

To Platform 1 from the Forecourt

As you face the main entrance, the path you need is just beyond the right-hand end of the building. If you get off the bus, turn left, continue beyond the bike racks on your right then turn right just before the building.

There are bollards across the path, continue, beyond the end of the mesh fence on your left, onto the platform. We believe you're beside the rear half of shorter trains and about in the middle of longer ones.

GO TO END

To Platform 2 Via the Ticket Office and Bridge

As you go into the ticket office from the forecourt, the ticket sales windows, with variable height counter and induction loop are to your right. The door to platform 1 is at the left-hand end of the far wall. Go through this door onto the platform and turn right.

Continue, past the end of the building and waiting area on your right, you may notice the mesh fence jutting out from the right with a concrete post at the platform end (ouch!). Go round this post, facing the forecourt then turn left and continue along the short path to the bridge. You go up a flight of steps, turn left then go up another flight onto the bridge. Continue, down a flight of steps, then turn left and go down another flight then turn left onto platform 2. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.

GO TO END

To Platform 2 from the Forecourt Via the Bridge

As you face the main entrance, the path you need is just beyond the right-hand end of the building. If you get off the bus, turn left, continue beyond the bike racks on your right then turn right just before the building.

There are bollards across the path, take the turning right and continue along a short path to the bridge.

Go up a flight of steps, turn left and go up another flight onto the bridge. Continue, down a flight of steps, turn left then go down another flight then turn left onto platform 2. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.

GO TO END

To Platform 2 from Thornbrae

As you go towards the rail bridge from Overton Road, take the turning left. Otherwise, cross the tracks then take the turning right. Go down the path, there's a hand rail on your right, onto the platform. You're at the east end of the platform, that is behind the rear of the train.

Note that some users may find this path a bit steep.

GO TO END

To Platform 2 from Springfield Park

From Overton Road, take the turning into Springfield Park, which brings you opposite numbers 1 - 19. Follow the right-hand pavement round to your right before crossing to your left then taking the turning left, towards the station.

Follow the path, which veers left before veering right again onto the platform. The foot of the steps to the bridge is to your left, continue beyond these, onto the platform. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
