PLATFORMS 1 - 3

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

Platforms 1 and 2 are bay platforms about 15 metres north of the station building, but under the canopy. There’s a wooden fence, with a sand bin, across the ends of tracks 1 and 2. There’s also a planter in the middle of this space.

Platform 1 is a separate platform along the west side of the station.

We’ll call the area between the beginning of these platforms and the ticket office the concourse.

Platform 3 begins south of the station building, sharing an island platform with a disused track bed until you reach the east side of the fourcourt, followed by the wall of the station building. Beyond the concourse, the pplatform shares an island with platform 2.

There's no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.

To Reach

There is level access to these platforms from the forecourt, through the ticket office and stairs access from street level via the subway. You go up 17 steps, going north to platform level. There is no tactile paving at the top or bottom of these steps.

The Concourse

The concourse is bounded to the east by the through platform 3 and to the south by the steps to the subway and the ticket office. The west wall includes the waiting room and other areas, which are not for public use.

The concourse includes a triangle of benches, around a planter, north of the steps from the subway followed by a row of three pillars east/west across the space.
