Overview

There is lift and stairs access from each platform to the east forecourt. There is also ramp access from platform 1 to the east forecourt plus ramp and stepped access from platform 2 to the west forecourt.

The subway, which provides lift and stairs access from platform 2 to the east forecourt, is near the north end of the station, that is near the front of northbound trains.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train, there is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

From Which Platform?

  From Platform 1, Southbound
From Platform 2, Northbound

From Platform 1, Southbound

All the exits are towards the rear of the train. As you go from the front of the train, you'll pass the small waiting room, the ramp exit, followed by the main building (which includes the stairs exit) and the lift.

Note that the gate to this ramp may be locked, if so, we suggest you use the lift.

Go through the gate, turn right and go down the slope. Turn left (180 degrees), go down the slope then turn right (180 degrees) and go down a shorter slope to a flatter area. Take the turning left (180 degrees) and go down the final slope into the east forecourt. The station building is in front of you, move right then continue towards the main entrance.

Via the Stairs to the East Forecourt

There are two entrances to the main building. If you go in through the first (nearer the front of the train) follow the rail on your left then turn left (180 degrees) at the end.

If you go in through the second entrance (nearer the rear of the train) follow the rail on your right, turning right then right again.

Go down eight steps, turn right (180 degrees) then go down eight steps, into the ticket office and continue forward through the automatic doors into the east forecourt.

Via Lift to the East Forecourt

Take the turning right, beyond the main building then turn left, the lift door should be in front of you, with the call button to your right of the door.

Go to subway level, leave via the same doors, turn left and continue into the east forecourt.

Via Stairs to the West Forecourt

If you went in through the first door, follow the rail on your left to the end then turn left (180 degrees), otherwise, if you came in through the second door, follow the rail on your right round to the right then right again.

Go down eight steps, turn right (180 degrees) then go down eight steps into the ticket office. Continue, through the doors in front of you, into the east forecourt.

Turn left, follow the building round to your left then right. You pass the passage to the lift, then continue, down the slope and take the next turning left into the subway.

Continue to the end then turn left and go up two flights of steps to platform level. Turn right, go through the automatic dorrs, then down three steps into the west forecourt.

Via Lift to the West Forecourt

Take the turning right, beyond the main building, then turn left, the lift door should be in front of you, with the call button to your right of the door.

Go to subway level, leave via the same doors and turn left. Turn left again at the end of the passage then go down the slope and take the turning left into the subway.

As you follow the right-hand side, the wall retreats, just before the lift to platform 2. As you face the lift, the call button is to your right of the door, go to platform level and leave via the same doors onto the platform. Turn left and take the turning left, beyond the toilet building, this is the short ramp into the west forecourt.

From Platform 2, Northbound

As you go from the front of the train, you pass the ramp to the west forecourt, followed by the toilet, lift then the passage to the stepped exit/subway.

As you go from the rear of the train, you pass the waiting room, followed by the passage to the stepped exit/subway, the lift, toilet and the ramp to the west forecourt.

This is a very short ramp, leading away from the tracks. Go down the slope then turn left to pass the station building.

Via Steps to the West Forecourt

Go into the passage to the exit/subway, continue through the automatic doors then down three steps, into the west forecourt.

Via Stairs to the East Forecourt

Go into the passage to the exit/subway, take the turning right and go down two flights of steps, into the subway. Turn right, continue to the end, then turn right again.

Continue, up the slope, past the recess to the lift then follow the building round to your left then right. You're in the east forecourt, the first door on your right is the entrance to the ticket office.

Via the Lift to the East Forecourt

Find the recess to the lift then turn away from the tracks. The lift is in front of you with the call button to your right of the door. Go down to subway level, leave via the same doors then move right (out of the recess) before continuing to the end of the subway.

Turn right at the end, go up the slight slope then follow the building left then right, you're in the east forecourt, with the entrance to the ticket office on your right.
