The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is tactile paving along the edtge of each platform.
You can either take the stairs-only route through the subway or the step-free route via the local road network. Note that a lift between platform 2 and the subway is under consideration.

There are two exits from this platform, one via the lift, the other via stairs.

As you go from the front of the train, you pass the wall of the covered waiting area, jutting out. Go round this wall, turn right, continue to the wall in front of you then turn left and locate the lift, on your right.
From the rear of the train, you pass the waiting room before the wall retreats left into the covered waiting area. Turn left into this, continue to the wall in front of you then turn right and locate the lift, on your left.
Go down to the low (ticket office) level, leave via the other dorrs then continue to the wall in front of you. turn left then take the turning right, down the ramp, into the forecourt.
Turn left, continue to the end of the wall on your left then turn right, cross the forecourt and go down Station Road, to the High Street. turn right, cross the hotel entrance, then the entrance to the car park then follow the road round to your right, into High Port.
Continue on High Port then take the turning right into Back Station Road. note that there's only pavement on the right-hand side. Go up the slope, into the car park. Take the turning right, just before the waiting room and continue onto the platform. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
From the front of the train, you pass the wall of the covered waiting area jutting out. Continue, past this and the pillars supporting the canopy, till you reach the wall of the waiting room. Move right and continue through the door into the waiting room.
From the rear of the train, you reach the wall of the waiting room, which retreats into the covered area, turn left into this area, and go through the door on your left, into the waiting room.
Continue, down three steps, then down a flight of steps. turn right, go down a flight of steps then turn right again and go down another flight, to ticket office level.
Move left, past the end of the wall in front of you then continue forward into the ticket office. Go past the sales windows on your right and a blank door then take the turning right into the subway.
Note that this has a low ceiling, about two metres. Continue to the end, turn left and go up two flights of steps to platform level. Continue to the far wall then move slightly left to find the door onto the platform. Go through this and turn left. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
There are three exits from this platform: the stepped exit to Back Station Road, the step-free exit to the car park and the stairs-only route via the subway, into the ticket office. We'll ignore the first of these as it offers no easier route to platform 1.

From the rear of the train, you pass the path to the car park before the wall of the waiting room juts out. turn left before this wall and continue into the car park.
Turn left and continue, through the car park exit, into Back Station Road. Note that there's only pavement on the left-hand side. Continue, down the slope, to High Port, turn left and follow the road round to your left, into High Street.
Continue, across the entrance to the hotel car park, then the entrance to the hotel itself, then turn left into Station Road.
Continue, up the slope. The pavement finishes before you reach the end of the hotel building on your left. Continue, across the forecourt, to the station building in front of you, turn left before the building then take the turning right and go up the ramp into the passage off the ticket office then turn left.
Take the turning right towards the lift. Go up to platform level, leave via the other doors then move round the rail in front of you. You're in the covered waiting area, continue onto the platform, we believe you're beside the front half of the train.
From the front of the train, you pass the waiting room (the wall doesn't jut out) before the wall retreats into the path to the car park. Turn right here and go through the door on your right, into the waiting room.
From the rear of the train, you reach the wall of the waiting room jutting out. go through the door, towards the right-hand end of this wall, into the waiting room.
The steps to the subway are in front of you, there's a barrier between the right-hand side of the stairwell and the wall and a gap to the left, which is not of concern. Continue forward, down two flights of steps then turn right into the subway.
Note that this has a low ceiling, about two metres. Go through the subway into the ticket office and continue beyond the end of the wall on your right.
Turn left, continue, to the five steps down to street level then move left to the steps up towards platform 1. Go up a flight of steps, turn left then go up a flight of steps, before turning left again and going up a third flight into the waiting room. Continue forward, up three steps, then through the door in front of you and turn right onto the platform. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
