Overview

There is lift access from each platform to the ticket office. There is also , step-free access from platform 2 to the car park.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

From Which Platform?

There are two exits from this platform, one via the lift, the other via stairs.

As you go from the front of the train, you pass the wall of the covered waiting area, jutting out. Go round this wall, turn right, continue to the wall in front of you then turn left and locate the lift, on your right.

From the rear of the train, you pass the waiting room before the wall retreats left into the covered waiting area. Turn left into this, continue to the wall in front of you then turn right and locate the lift, on your left.

The call button is to your right of the door, go down to ticket office level, leave via the other dorr then continue to the wall in front of you. turn left then take the turning right, down the ramp, into the forecourt.

Via the Steps

From the front of the train, you pass the wall of the covered waiting area jutting out. Continue, past this and the pillars supporting the canopy, till you reach the wall of the waiting room. Move right and continue through the door into the waiting room.

From the rear of the train, you reach the wall of the waiting room, which retreats into the covered area, turn left into this area, and go through the door on your left, into the waiting room.

Continue, down three steps, then down a flight of steps. Turn right, go down a flight of steps then turn right again and go down another flight, to ticket office level. Turn left (180 degrees) then go down five steps and continue, through the door onto Station Road.

From Platform 2, Westbound

There are three exits from this platform: the stepped exit to Back Station Road, the step-free exit to the car park and the stairs or lift route via the subway, into the ticket office.

Go beyond the rear of the train, take the turning right and go down five steps. Follow the short path then take the turning left into Back Station Road. Note that there's only pavement on the left-hand side of this road.

From the front of the train, you pass the lift then the waiting room then turn right and continue into the car park.

From the rear of the train, you pass the path to the car park before the wall of the waiting room juts out. Turn left before this wall and continue into the car park.

Via the Stairs to the Ticket Office

From the front of the train, you pass the lift then the waiting room, turn right beyond this building and go through the door on your right, into the waiting room.

From the rear of the train, you reach the wall of the waiting room jutting out. Go through the door, towards the right-hand end of this wall, into the waiting room.

The steps to the subway are in front of you, there's a barrier between the right-hand side of the stairwell and the wall and a gap to the left, which is not of concern. Continue forward, down two flights of steps then turn right into the subway.

Note that this has a low ceiling, about two metres. Go through the subway into the ticket office and continue beyond the end of the wall on your right. From here, you can turn left and continue, down five steps to Station Road, or turn right into the passage then take the turning left, down the ramp into the forecourt.

Via the Lift to the Ticket Office

As you go from the front of longer trains, you pass a series of posts before you find the rear of the lift building. Continue past this building, including the rail which juts about a metre beyond the building then turn right (180 degrees) to the lift.

As you go from the rear of the train, you pass the waiting room before you reach the gap to the lift. turn left, into this space then turn right to the lift.

The call button is to your right of the door, go down to the subway, leave via the same door then turn left.

Continue through the subway then take the turning right and then turn left through the door to the forecourt.
