There is lift access to platform 1 from the ticket office, though step-free access to platform 2 is only available from the car park. The step-free route from the ticket office to platform 2 is via Station Road, High Street, High Port and Back Station Road.
There is tactile paving along the edge of the platforms.

As this is a stepped entrance, we'll only include stairs routes to each platform.
Go up five steps, the steps towards platform 1, eastbound are to your right. Continue into the ticket office, the sales windows are on your right followed by the subway towards platform 2.

From the top of the five steps, turn right (180 degrees), go up a flight of steps, turn left then go up a flight of steps before turning left again and going up a third flight of steps into the waiting room. Continue forward, up three steps then through the door in front of you then turn right onto the platform. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
Continue, past the sales windows and a blank door then take the turning right into the subway. Note that this has a low ceiling, about two metres. Continue to the end then turn left.
Go up two flights of steps, into the waiting room, then continue to the door towards the left-hand end of the far wall - you may need to bear slightly left, otherwise you'll find the window. Go through the door then turn left onto the platform. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
We include details of the rute via the local road network to platform 2, in case you needed to buy a ticket. Otherwise we'd suggest you reach platform 2 via the car park. A lift from the subway to platform 2 is under consideration.
Go up the ramp then either turn left towards the lift to platform 1, eastbound or right towards the ticket sales windows.

Turn left at the top of the ramp then take the turning right towards the lift. Go up to platform level, leave via the other doors then move round the rail in front of you. You're in the covered waiting area, continue onto the platform, we believe you're beside the front half of the train.
From the sales windows, make your way out through the step-free exit then turn left and continue to the end of the wall on your left. Turn right, across the forecourt and continue, down Station Road, to the High Street. turn right, continue, across the hotel and car park entrance and follow the road round to your right into High Port.
Take the turning right, Back Station Road and continue, up the slope, into the car park. From here you can take the turning right, past the waiting room, onto platform 2. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.

Note that there's no pavement on the left-hand side of Back Station Road. Continue up the slope then take the turning right, just before you reach the car park. Follow the short path, up five steps, onto the platform. We believe you're behind the rear of the train, turn left and continue towards the waiting room.

Leave the car park via the turning right, just before the waiting room and continue onto the platform. We believe you're about in the middle of the train.
Leave the car park via the way you came in, down Back Station Road then turn left into High Port. Follow the road round to your left into High Street, cross the hotel car park entrance and the entrance to the hotel itself then take the turning left into Station Road. Continue, up the slope. The pavement finishes beside the hotel, continue across the forecourt, which leads left, then turn left just before you reach the station building, in front of you. Take the turning right, up the ramp, into the passage off the ticket office.
From here, you can turn right towards the ticket sales windows or left towards the lift.
Turn left then take the turning right towards the lift. Go up to platform level then leave via the other doors and move round the rail in front of you. You're in the covered waiting area, continue onto the platform. We believe you're beside the front half of the train.
