THE LIFT

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

There is one lift in this station, between the ticket office and platform 1. Note that there is step-free access between the car park and platform 2. A second lift, between the subway and platform 2 is under consideration.

The Lift

At the Lower Level

From the forecourt, go in via the step-free entrance, up the slope then turn left at the top, the recess to the lift is on your right.

From the ticket sales windows, turn left and continue, into the passage. If you find a wall in front of you, move left round this. You pass two doors on your right before you reach the recess to the lift.

The call button is to your right of the door. You go in facing south.

At Platform Level

The lift is in the covered area extending from the waiting room. Note that there's a metal rail between the lift door and the platform. The call button is to your right of the door, you go in facing north.

Inside the Lift

The controls are on the left-hand side as you go in at ticket office level and on the right-hand side as you go in from the platform. The controls are arranged in three rows:

Top Row

Middle row

Bottom Row, from the Left

There’s also a low-level alarm button.

There are spoken announcements, though we found these a bit quiet at the time of our survey.
