Ideally, you should arrange for assistance in advance via the appropriate telephone number.
Staff are available beside each manual gate. There is one at the left-hand end of the gate line for platforms 5 - 6, as you enter the station and a manual gate at each end of the gate line for platforms 1 - 4. There's also an information desk beyond the left-hand end of the gate line to platforms 5 - 6.
Alternatively, you could ask for assistance at the ticket sales windows, which are to your left as you come in through the Strand entrance.
