If you need a ticket, we suggest you go in via the Strand entrance, which is directly off the Strand. You go along a short passage into the concourse then turn left, across the entrance/exit from the Underground station and join the ticket queue, in front of you. Similarly, if you're coming from the Underground, leave via exit 4 and turn left to join the queue.
There are two gate lines in the concourse. The left-hand one is for platforms 1 - 4, whilst the right-hand one is for platforms 5 - 6. There's a manual gate at each (left and right) end of the gate line for platform 4, whilst there is only one, at the left-hand end of the gate line for platforms 5 - 6.
There is no tactile paving along the edge of any of these platforms, though there is tactile flooring indicating the front of four car trains.

Continue, through the short passage, into the concourse.
For platforms 1 - 4, continue along the left-hand side of the concourse to the gate line in front of you. There's a manual gate at each end of this gate line. Keep straight ahead for platforms 1 - 2. move to the right-hand end of the gate line for platforms 3 - 4. Note, there is no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
For platforms 5 - 6, continue into the concourse, turn right, continue to the wall in front of you then turn left. Follow the right-hand side of the concourse, around WH Smith which juts out, to the gate line. There's a manual gate at the left-hand end. Go through the gate and move left for platform 5, right for platform 6. Note, there's no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
Continue, through the short passage, into the concourse.

Leave the Underground station via exit 4, the escalator brings you into the concourse, with the travel centre to your left.

As you reach the top of the steps, the manual gate at the left-hand end of the gate line to platform 1 - 4 is to your left.
For platforms 1 - 2, go through this gate and continue onto the platform.
For platforms 3 - 4, continue to the other end of the gate line, go through the manual gate, which is now to your left, then continue onto the platforms.
For platforms 5 - 6, continue forward to the wall in front of you, turn right and follow the building round till you reach the manual gate at the left-hand end of the gate line to platforms 5 - 6. Go through this gate and move to your left for platform 5, right for platform 6.
Note, there is no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
