The station is located on the south side of Station Road (east/west), a few metres east of the roundabout junction with the A832 (north/south) to the south and Harbour Road (north/south) to the north.

There's a lamp post on each side of Station Road, which is used as a bus stop.
This stop serves local services only, precise details were not available at the time of our survey.
Cross Station road from the main entrance, turn right and follow the pavement. The pavement veers left then right again around a lay-by outside shops before you reach the road towards the Knoydart Inverie ferry, cross this road, you're now beside the Band Stand on your left. Continue, past five bollards and the tactile paving indicating a zebra crossing of Station Road then locate the lamp post on your left.
This stop serves buses towards Fort William.
Cross Station road from the main entrance, turn right and follow the pavement. The pavement veers left then right again around a lay-by outside shops before you reach the road towards the Knoydart Inverie ferry, cross this road, you're now beside the Band Stand on your left. Continue to the tactile paving indicating a zebra crossing of Station Road. Cross Station Road here, turn left and past steps up to the bank on your right past the ramp then follow the low wall with metal fence on your right. The fence veers right before you reach the lamp post, which serves as the bus stop towards Fort William.
The car park lies to the east of the station, with a disabled persons parking bay just beside (east of) the walkway to the platform. Replacement buses and pre-ordered taxis will also pick up from this car park.
Note that this is not a regular taxi rank, so you'll need to order a taxi by phone. We're aware of Mary's Taxis 01687 462885.

There are two ferry companies operating from Mallaig, the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to Skye and the smaller islands leaves from the pier beyond (northwest of) the end of Harbour Road, whilst the Knoydart Inverie ferry leaves from the Old Pier from the access road before (west of) the Band Stand.
