General description

Describe Online

Lines Served

This is a through station on the line between Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. Trains between Edinburgh and Perth also use this station.

Layout

The tracks run approximately north/south between separate platforms with platform 1, serving southbound trains towards Edinburgh lying east of platform 2, serving northbound trains towards Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth.

A bridge, over the northern half of the station, provides stairs and step-free access to platform 1 from the forecourt. Note that there are no entrances from the east side of this station.

The station building, including the ticket office and a waiting room is beside platform 2. There is level access to this from the forecourt but stairs and ramp access from platform 2.

Accessibility

There is stairs and step-free access throughout this station. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
