The station lies to the west of a large car park south of the main road (east/west) and south of the subway which marks the beginning og the West Highland Way. The section of the main road beside the car park is called Woodburn Way, west from this is Main Street Milngavie, whilst to the east is Station Road. Buchanan Street runs north from Woodburn Way, along the west side of the Town Hall building.
Fulton Road runs south along the east side of the car park.
There are three entrances/exits to this station:
The main entrance is up a ramp leading south, turn right (west), through automatic doors, into the ticket office. Alternatively, you can go up two steps, going north then turn left (west) to the doors.
This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving and sounder. There’s a post with push button, but no rotating cone, to each side of you as you cross in either direction. This crossing brings you onto the west side of Buchanan Street, with the Town Hall on the east side.
There is no pedestrian controlled crossing of Buchanan Street at this junction.
There is no pedestrian controlled crossing at this junction. Note that there’s only pavement on the east side of Fulton Road.

The pavement continues north from the main entrance, along the west side of the car park, past a map of the West Highland Way. The path to the subway veers off to the left, whilst the path turns right (east). Continue up a slight slope till you reach the road. Tactile paving indicates the crossing of Woodburn Way.
