CHANGE PLATFORMS

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Rather than attempt to describe all possible combinations, many of which are trivial, I'll remind you of the basic layout of the platforms, which should inform the routes you need to take. See the Find a Platform from the Entrance and Find the Exit from a Platform pages for more details of routes via the bridge.

Platforms 1, 2 and 9 are adjacent to the southern edge of the concourse, so that platform 2 runs beside the Travel Centre, with platform 1, being a bay platform at the east and 9 another bay platform at the west. Each of these shares the island with platform 2.

Platforms 3 and 4, occupy the island platform reached via the middle landing of the bridge, with platform 3 lying north of platform 4. Note that the ramp and steps from the bridge reach platform 3 and that it is easier to reach platform 4 via the ramp.

Platforms 5 to 8 share the island platform access via the second (southern) span of the bridge. The ramp (east) accesses platform 5, whilst the steps (west) access platform 6. Note that platform 7 is south of platform 5 and 8 is south of platform 6.

Platforms 10 and 11 share an island platform leading west from the concourse. There are low walls across the ends of tracks 9 - 10 and 11 - 12, but there was no tactile paving near the edges of these platforms at the time of our survey.

Platform 12 leads west from the concourse, along the north side of the station.
