THE MAIN CONCOURSE, OUTSIDE THE GATES

Layout

You enter the concourse from the station forecourt via either the north or south entrance, facing west. The concourse is generally rectangular, with a triangular area extending to the north, which includes the north entrance. The way between the rectangular and triangular areas of the concourse is divided by a pillar. There are two pairs of pillars in the rectangular area.

Continuing along the East Side of the Concourse, Past the South Entrance

You continue south into the dining area, the counter is to your left (east), The seating area for this is a completely open space towards the south end of the concourse.

Continuing East Wall, Beyond the Eating Area

The waiting room juts out, a glass wall curves left to run east To a glass panel which leads to the end of the east wall.

South Wall

The Travel Centre is an L-shape occupying the southwest corner of the concourse. The door in the south wall leads into a seating area, use the other doors to queue for advance ticket sales.

As you enter the Travel Centre, the desks are to your left, go forwards then follow the queue to your left.

In the middle of the concourse, opposite the photo booths beyond the south entrance, there are two pillars. Both the east and west pillars have a BT pay phone on each side.
