PLATFORM 4 |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This platform, which runs along the south side of the station, serves the Ayrshire line towards Ardrossan, Ayr, Kilmarnock, Largs, etc.
The entrance from the intermediate level is about in the middle of the platform, whilst the lift is in the waiting room, beside the west half.
There is tactile paving along the edge of the platform.
You can either reach this platform via the lift in the ticket office or steps from the intermediate level.
You go up 11 steps, long landing, 10 and 10 steps, going east to platform level. The steps are divided by a central rail in which there’s a gap along the first, longer landing. Turn left (north) at the top and go through a normally open door onto the platform.
See the lifts page for details. Leave the lift, turn left and go through the doors onto the platform. We believe you're beside the front half of the train.
