PLATFORMS 2 - 3 |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is an island platform, with platform 2, westbound lying north of platform 3, eastbound.
Platform 2 serves the Inverclyde line towards Gourock and Wemys Bay, whilst platform 3 serves the Ayrshire line to Glasgow Central only.
The steps entrance from the intermediate level is about in the middle of the platform.
There are four buildings on this platform. The first (east) is not for public use, the second is the waiting room and kiosk, whilst the third, beyond the steps, contains the Station Supervisor's office, the lift and toilet/baby change facility. The fourth building is not for public use.
There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.
You can either reach this island platform via the lift from the low level or steps from the intermediate level.
You go up 17 then 16 steps, going east to platform level. These steps are divided by a central rail.
See the lifts page for details. You leave the lift, turn left and go through the door onto platform 3. You may be behind the rear of shorter trains. For platform 2, turn right and go through the doors onto the platform, we believe you're near the front of the train.
