There is stairs or ramp access between all platforms via the main bridge, which we recommend for all platform changes in this station.
There is tactile paving along the edge of platforms 1, 2 and 6, but none on other platforms.
The following list gives the side of the train on which doors will open, as you face the front of the train.

You can leave this platform via ramp or stairs using the main bridge.
The ramp goes up towards the front of the train. From the rear of the train, continue forward and locate the foot of the ramp in a recess to your left. From the front of the train, continue, following the right-hand side, past the steps then locate the foot of the ramp in a recess to your right, turn right (180 degrees).
Go up to the bridge, turn right and continue over a slight hump.

Take the first turning right and go down the ramp onto platform 2, we believe you're beside the front half of the train.
Continue along a flat section then take the turning right and go down the ramp onto platform 3. We believe, you're beside the front half of the departing train.
Continue, along a flat section then over a slight hump, to the end then turn left. Go down the ramp onto platform 4, towards Edinburgh or Glasgow Queen Street. We believe you're beside the front half of the train.
For other platforms in this section, turn left (180 degrees), continue past the foot of the steps then take the turning left and continue onto platform 5, towards Edinburgh via Fife, you're near the rear of the departing train. For platforms 6 and 7, turn right and continue beyond the beginning of platform 5 then turn left. Take the turning left, before you reach platform 7, onto the beginning of platform 6, which is seldom used. Otherwise continue onto platform 7, towards Inverness, we believe you're about in the middle of the train.
The steps go up, towards the rear of the train. From the front of the train, follow the wall and locate the foot of the steps.
From the rear of the train, continue past the foot of the ramp then locate the foot of the steps and turn left (180 degrees.)
Go up two flights of steps then turn left and continue over a slight hump.

Take the first turning left and go down two flights of steps onto platform 2. We believe you're beside the rear half of the train.
Continue along a flat section then take the turning left and go down two flights of steps onto platform 3. We believe you're beside the front half of the departing train.
Continue, along a flat section then over a slight hump, to the end then turn right. Go down two flights of steps onto platform 4, towards Edinburgh or Glasgow Queen Street. We believe you're beside the front half of the train.

Note that the steps to the north bridge are near the front of the train. It may be easier to use this as the stairs route. If you need the ramp, you'll have to go towards the rear of the train for the main bridge.
From the front of the train, go past the two sets of steps to the north bridge. Note that you can walk under these stairs, be careful! Follow the wall, to the foot of the ramp to the main bridge.
From the rear of the train, continue past the steps to the main bridge and the passage to the concourse then locate the foot of the ramp. Turn right (180 degrees).
Go up onto the main bridge.

Take the turning left, before you reach platform 7, onto the beginning of platform 6, which is seldom used. Although you can reach all platforms via the main bridge which is towards the rear of the train, you can only reach platforms 4 - 7 via the north bridge, which is near the front.
From the rear of the train, you'll probably find the steps to the main bridge. If you can go up two flights of steps, you're on the main bridge.

For other platforms in this section, turn left and continue onto platform 5, towards Edinburgh via Fife, you're near the rear of the departing train. For platforms 6 and 7, turn right and continue beyond the beginning of platform 5 then turn left. Take the turning left, before you reach platform 7, onto the beginning of platform 6, which is seldom used. Otherwise continue onto platform 7, towards Inverness, we believe you're about in the middle of the train.
From the front of the train, follow the wall and go up the steps in front of you. You go up a flight of steps, turn right then go up another flight of steps onto the bridge.
Alternatively, if you find the steps going up towards the front of the train, go up a flight of steps, turn left and go up another flight of steps onto the bridge.
Continue, over a slight hump then down a flight of steps then turn right and go down another flight of steps onto platform 4, towards Edinburgh or Glasgow Queen Street. We believe you're beside the rear half of the train.
For other platforms, continue forward then take the turning left and continue, across the south end of the car park, onto platform 7, towards Inverness. We believe you're beside the front half of the train.
For platforms 5 - 6 turn left immediately on reaching the other side of the building. Continue, to the gap on your left, you're now beside the rear of the train on platform 5, towards Edinburgh via Fife. For platform 6, which is seldom used, turn back then turn left beyond the beginning of platform 5, across the end of tracks 5 and 6, and turn left, before the railings between platforms 6 and 7.
Although you could get to platform 3 via the north bridge, we recommend you use either the ramp or stairs of the main bridge, which are about in the middle of platform 4.
From platform 5, go towards the front of the train and take the turning right, before the beginning of the platform, towards the steps to the main bridge.
From platform 6, go beyond the front of the train, and turn right, beyond the end of the fence on your left. Continue to the building in front of you, turn right and take the turning left, towards the steps to the main bridge.
From platform 7, move to the middle of the platform and turn towards the building. Turn right and take the turning left towards the steps to the main bridge.
The ramp leads up towards the rear of the train on platform 4.
From the rear of the train, continue, past the steps up to the north bridge and follow the building, past the steps to the bridge and continue to the foot of the ramp. Turn right (180 degrees).
From the front of the train, continue, beyond the start of the building then follow the wall to the foot of the ramp, in front of you.
From platforms 5 - 7, continue onto platform 4, turn right and follow the wall to locate the foot of the ramp. Turn right 180 degrees).
Go up to the bridge, turn right then continue, over a slight hump.

Turn left and go down the ramp, onto platform 3. We believe you're beside the front half of the departing train.
The steps go up towards the front of the train on platform 4. Note that the steps near the rear of the train are to the north bridge, this is not what you want.
From the rear of the train, continue, past the steps up to the north bridge and follow the building, past the turning to platforms 5 - 7 then bear slightly right to the steps to the bridge.
From the front of the train, continue, beyond the start of the building then follow the wall to the foot of the ramp, in front of you. Move right and follow the wall to locate the left turn then turn left (180 degrees).
From platforms 5 - 7 turn right before you reach platform 4, to the foot of the steps.
Go up two flights of steps, onto the bridge, turn left then continue over a slight hump.
